Glaucoma Patients who have either had Trabeculectomy and safe to be monitored in the Community or Patients who on Medical Glaucoma Treatment ,not yet needing Surgical Treatment but require Routine Monitoring.
We aim to monitor these patients using Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) Visual Field Analyzers and doing Slit Lamp Examination of each Patient including checking Intra Ocular Pressure
The Service will be run by Two Middle Grade Ophthalmologist, who have 10 years of experience each in reviewing such patients, reviewing and interpreting images and referring promptly those Patients who require treatment back to the Hospital.
This service is aimed at relieving the pressure on NHS Hospitals who can now focus more on acute and emergency Eye care, while we focus on chronic stable Patients and Refer them back to the Hospital when Necessary.
Reducing waiting time in hospitals and ensuring that all Patients get Optimal Care.
